FRIDAYS

5:30pm - 7:00pm
(1hr 30mins)

YOUTH MT classes will encourage you to take the next step in developing your technique and confidence in singing, dancing and acting. We will cover basics such as jazz dance, ensemble singing and acting exercises but at this stage, we will also introduce additional elements to your technique such as:

  • Solo/Duet singing with coaching

  • Improvisation

  • Script work

  • In depth character work

  • Learning choreography

  • Mini Musicals (learning a song, a dance routine and a scene from a musical to perform at the end of class)

SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE

At the end of term you will perform some of the work you have been developing. This will be a revue-style show, meaning it will include segments from several musicals and will allow everyone to shine.

This will also be a great opportunity to perform some new skills you have covered and material you have worked on to an audience of friends and family, and to feel proud of your development. At this point, you may feel ready to audition for one of our full-scale productions.

SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE

At the end of term you will perform some of the work you have been developing. This will be a revue-style show, meaning it will include segments from several musicals and will allow everyone to shine.

To support the work you have been doing in class, we will treat this as a full production, holding auditions and selecting soloists and specific musical numbers to suit the group of performers.

This will also be a great opportunity to perform to an audience of friends and family, and to feel proud of your development. At this point, we hope you would feel confident in your growing ability as a triple threat performer and be part of our full-scale productions.
