Jack Blundell is a London-trained actor and director, with over 15 years experience in the industry. After starting in youth theatre where he won awards for Best Actor, Best Director, Best Writing, and Best Devised Performance, Jack then trained professionally, graduating with a BA (Hons) in Acting & Directing. His career has spanned theatre, television, immersive productions, stand-up comedy and radio presenting. Jack has also participated in workshops with huge companies such as Mischief Theatre, The National Theatre, ITV, BBC, Netflix, and The MET Film School.

 

In 2023, Jack co-founded Playhouse Theatre Company in Dunfermline, bringing professional level training and productions to the local community. Since then, he has directed an impressive range of shows including the Scottish premiere of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Blood Brothers (The Play), All Shook Up, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Shrek The Musical, and Carrie The Musical. Each production has received glowing reviews from cast & audiences.

 

Jack thrives on creating a supportive, exciting rehearsal environment where performers of all ages can grow in skill and confidence. His passion for theatre is matched by his commitment to working with the local community. Working with local talent has been an absolute joy and he believes the magic of theatre lies in bringing people together to tell stories that entertain, inspire, and connect.

CHOREOGRAPHER

Lucy is a professionally trained performer, having studied Musical Theatre at the prestigious Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London on a Dance and Drama Award (DaDA) scholarship. During her training, she received the Singing Award, Acting Award and the Top of the Year Award, and had the chance to be Dance Captain for workshops including Pretty Woman and Come From Away.

 

In London, Lucy performed in the ensemble of Urinetown and played the leading role of Carrie White in Carrie The Musical. 

Lucy then went on to work for Disney Theatrical in London's West End.

Prior to opening Playhouse Theatre Company, Lucy directed and choreographed a variety of productions including Oliver!, Hairspray, We Will Rock You, The Wizard of Oz and There’s No Business Like Show Business. She also produced concerts for Kinross’ Winter Music Festival, raising over £8000 for charities.

At Playhouse, Lucy continues to direct and choreograph across a wide range of productions.

Recent choreography projects include Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Time Traveller, All Shook Up, Shrek The Musical, Carrie The Musical and Lost & Bound. She also worked alongside Jack as a director for Blood Brothers and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

Alongside her creative work, Lucy has extensive performance experience with roles such as The Lady of the Lake in Spamalot, Christine Daaé in The Phantom of the Opera, Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Little Sally in Urinetown, Blanche in Bonnie and Clyde and most recently, Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical.

Lucy is delighted to be pursuing her creative passion through Playhouse Theatre Company and loves working with people of all ages on exciting and diverse theatre projects throughout the year.

MUSICAL director

In 2023, Guy graduated from Leeds Conservatoire with a degree in Jazz Music. During his 3 years at the conservatoire, he trained in a variety of skills, including musical direction, conducting, vocal technique and care, piano skills as well as other musicianship techniques.

He became involved in Musical Theatre in 2013, taking part first in youth productions, before moving into amateur dramatics.

Guy also has been involved in productions as a Musical Director, working for In Sync Theatre Company and Youth Music Theatre Scotland to direct productions of Oliver, Hairspray and Seussical the Musical before going to university.

Guy has played in pit bands for a number of shows, playing Drums, Percussion, Bass Guitar, Guitar and Keyboard in different productions over the last 10 years.

He also was a director, musical director and show organiser for a revue in his final year of secondary school, raising money for the schools performing arts budget.

Guy spent 2 years prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic working part time as a private music tutor, teaching a variety of instruments to people of varying ages.

Since leaving University, Guy has continued to be involved in the musical theatre scene, playing in the pit band for shows with MGA and Falkirk Youth Theatre, as well as performing with The Bohemian Lyrics Opera Company in their performance of Sunshine on Leith.

Guy also has a breadth of stage experience, having played roles including Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors and Rusty in Starlight Express.
